12 days' tour to Wolong, Ganzi, Litang, kangding and Hailuogou

Alert: the tour starts at your hotel in Chengdu city and ends at Chengdu shuangliu international airport; to start this tour, you are required to get to Chengdu before Day01
Day01: Chengdu -------------- L/D ----------- 3* Khamding hotel
In the morning, start the tour at 0830AM, go and visit Jinsha museum, the museum to 'Old-Shu' civilization; the exhibits inside the Jinsha museum presents the arts and technology about 5000 years ago of ancient people dwelling in the present land of Chengdu plain. we suggest to have lunch in Longchaoshou snacks restaurant, which is one of the famous brands in Chengdu for its snacks
In the afternoon, first visit is to local arts and crafts market - Songxianqiao market; after here, do visit to Qingyanggong palace, a Daoist temple wish a history over 1300 years; and in the end of the day, finish the tour sightseeing at Wenshu temple, located in the northeast corner of the city inside the 1st ring road of Chengdu city (Chengdu city has 3 ring roads).
Day02: Chengdu to Rilong --------- B/L/D --------- 3* Hotel
At 0700AM, leave hotel and drive 240 kilometers northward to Rilong, where the Mt. Siguniangs is located;Mt. Siguniangs is made up of 4 peaks, all are above 5000 meters, the highest peak is Yaomeifeng (the 4th peak, 6250M), the lowest peak is Dafeng (5355M). Mt. Siguangs has become the ideal training site for green hand mountaineers and also a favorite place to adventure lovers.
Sichuan Wolong panda research center is on the half way of driving and the jeep will climb over a 4587M mountain pass (Balngshan pass).
When getting to Rilong around 1300PM, starting the tour to Shuangqiaogou valley, this valley is relatively flat and even, but this doesn't reduce its beauty. spending the afternoon in Shuangqiaogou valley (Double bridge valley); this valley is good for photo taking and view fantastic snow peaks
Day03: Haizigou valley trekking -------- B/L/D ------ Local hotel
In the morning, go and do a trekking inside Haizigou valley; the road leading into the end of the valley is not even, you can choose to hike in or ride a horse in; in this valley, you can view the highest peak and have a chane to climb Dafeng (5355M); in summer and October, the valley presents you much beauty, flowers, green grass, sea of clouds and something more than I can name them
Day04: Rilong to Danba to Tagong ----------- B/L/D -------- Xueyu guesthouse
Drive 145 kilometers to reach Danba. enjoy the local beautiful Tibetan villages along the way; in mid afternoon, arriving in Tagong.
Day05: Tagong to Daofu to Luhuo to Ganzi ----- B/L/D ----- Jin Maoniu hotel
Drive about 285 kilometers to Ganzi town, along the way, passing by Bamei, Daofu and Luhuo.
At Bamei, do a short time tour to visit Huiyuan monastery, which was built in 1728 and in in 1729, the 7th Dalai Lama was moved here from Ta'er monastery (Xining) for a secure reason from Zhunge'er Mongonians' threat and this monastery was once used as the temporary palace to him; and in 1838, the 11th Dalai Lama was born around here.
At Luhuo, visit Luhuo Shouling monastery (also called as Linque monastery), which was built in 850, in its history, it belonged to Bon sect (Tibetan original belief), Nyingmapa sect (one of the 4 sects of Tibetan buddhism), and now it belongs to Gelupa sect (Yellow Hat), the 10th Panchan Lama and the 14th Dalai Lama once stayed overnight in it, therefore, it enjoys a high reputation among monasteries in Kham area
D06: Ganzi touring ---------- B/L --------------- Jin Maoniu hotel
Visit Ganzi monastery, which was listed as the 1st monastery among the 13 monasteries at Ho'er area. in late 20th century and 21st century, Ganzi town still presents its strong local Tibetan atmosphere. in the afternoon, you are free to walk around in the town to find out what impress you
D07: Ganzi to Litang ------ B/L ----- Litang Genie hotel or Litang hotel
Whole day driving to Litang via Xinlong county; doing this way (to Xinlong), the drive distance can be shorter.
D08: Litang sightseeing ------------ B/L ------- Litang Genie hotel or Litang hotel
Visit Litang monastery at Litang; this monastery is about 2 kilometers to the north of the city center.
Litang monastery was built in 1581 by 3rd Dalai Lama; in its history, the 7th, 10th Dalai Lamas were born here; and several other highranked "living buddhas " were from here and played very improtan role in the history of Tibet politics and Tibet buddhism, they are Zhebuzundanba living buddha, 5th Jaimuyang living buddha, the 7th, 8th and 9th Pabala living buddha, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Xianggen living buddha
D09: Litang to Xinduqiao to Kangding ---- B/L --- 4* Qingge hotel or Gesa'er hotel
Today, drive 290 kilometers eastward to Kangding, the regional capital of Ganzi Zhou; at Xinduqiao, do a relax and the last tour to visit Juli temple, which is about 15 kilometers off the mail road (G318)
D10: Kangding to Hailuogou ------------ B/L ----- 4* hotel
Drive to Hailuogou; having hot spring there to wash away the fatigue from the long time journey. Hailuogou is famous for its glaciers and hot spring. the glaciers are stemed from teh eastern slope of Minya Gongga mountain (7556 meters), and are the typical maritime, low altitude glaceirs, which has an coerage over 16 square kilometers and the longest flow of glacier is about 14.7 kilometers. the lowest point of Hailuogou glaciers is 2859 meters by altitude. the grand "ice fal"l in Hailuogou is about 1080 meters in height and 1100 meters in width, it is the highest and biggest "ice fall" available in China
D11: Khamding to Chengdu --- B/L --- 3* Kangding Hotel or Shufeng garden hotel
Leave Moxi town (where Hailuogou glaciers are located), drive through the famous Erlangshan tunnel, the longest mountain tunnel in China, which makes the traffic over Mt. Erlangshan much easier. Getting back around 15:00
D12: Leaving Chengdu -------- B
In the morning, free time for relaxing, self arranging the time; in the afternoon, at the agreed time, send you to chengdu airport.
