Day01: Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou ------------ L/D ----------- 3* Hotel
In the morning, Leave Chengdu at 0730AM, drive northward to Jiuzhaigou along Minjiang River; Minjiang river is one of the famous 6 rivers in Sichuan , which stems from Jiuzhaigou area and pours itself into Yangtse river; other most famous rivers are Tuojiang River, Jialingjjiang river, Yalongjiang river, Jinshajiang river and Yangtse river. Today we will drive about 8 hours or more to get to Jiuzhaigou; lunch will be served at Maoxian countytown; on the way, you can see Minjiang River valley, Diexi Lakes, old wall in Songpan township as well as the local buildings of Qiang and Tibetan people on either side of the road.
Day02: Jiuzhaigou sightseeing ----------- B/L/D ----------- 3* Hotel
You have a full day tour to Multi-coloured Lakes which are scaterred through the Jiuzhaigou Nature Reserve, such as Rorhilang Water Falls, Shuzhen water fall, Water fall of pearls, Long Lake and the Panda lake, and more...., if the weather is sunny, it is my promise that here will be your paradise of photo taking.
Generally, Jiuzhaigou looks like a big "Y" on its shape, the netrance to the nature is at the bottom of the "Y"; if you are real photo lover, I suggest you a a 4 day round-flight tour or a 5 days coach tour to this breamland.
In the evening, you can enjoy the local performance (self pay).
Day03: Jiuzhaigou to Huanglong to Songpan ----- B/L/D --------- 3* Hotel
At 0700AM, leave Jiuzhaigou and drive to Huanglong Nature Reserve; Huanglong is located in a valley 55 kilometers to the east of Chuangzhusi town; it is about 100 kilometers between Chuanzhusi and Jiuzhaigou; visit the Huanglong Monastery and the Multi-coloured Pools. At last drive to Songpan county for night.
Huanglong is famous for is colorful calcificated deposit from water rich of calcium, the deposit looks golden under the flowing water; its shape and its colour is like a swiming dragon in the shining ripple of the down flowing waters.
There is a zigzag wooded path leading you to the top, at the end of the climbing is a huge snow covered peak, looking beautiful agaist the sunshine. you need two hours to get to the top and then another 2 hours to jump down.
At the half way of the road between Chuanzhusi a
d Huanglong is a 4200 mountain pass, standing there, you can view the 5588M Xuebaoding snow peak; this peak is a famous peak for greed hand mountaineers. although it is not high, there were several climbers immortal in the past years
Day04: Songpan to Chengdu ---------------- B/L ------------3* Kangding hotel
Leaving Songpan at 0800AM, drive back to Chengdu; today the drive will be easier compared to the drive on the first day; on the way, you will repeat what you had seen on your first day, because the road is the same one; when at Dujiangyan city, 50 kilometers north to Chengdu city, go and visit Dujiangyan Irrigation Project . this water project was built between 256 B.C.and 230 B.C.by then Shu governor, Li Bin to tame the flooding river and harness it to irrigate to farmland aound; till now, the project has still been in use to benefit people in Sichhuan plain. Because of the great water project and the weather, Sichuan, especially, Chengdu plain is reputed as "The Land of abandance".
After this visit, drive back to Chengdu towntown area.
Day05: Chengdu ---------------------- B/L -------------- 3* Kangding hotel
Meet you at your hotel and then start the tour at 0830AM. do visit to Panda research & feeding center; which is about 12 kilometers to the north east corner outside the city.
we suggest to have lunch in Longchaoshou snacks restaurant, which is one of the famous brands in Chengdu for its snacks
In the afternoon, go and visit Jinsha museum, the museum to 'Old-Shu' civilization; the exhibits inside the Jinsha museum presents the arts and technology about 5000 years ago of ancient people dwelling in the present land of Chengdu plain.
Day06: Chengdu to Leshan to Mt. Emei ---- B/L/D ----- 4* Emeishan Hotel
In the morning, at 0830AM, start driving 130 kilometers (about 2 hours) to Leshan. Leshan is famous for its big Buddha statue; This statue is seated at the conjunction point where three rrivers crash together: the Minjiang River, Dadu river and the Qingyi river; by recording, the huge buddha is built in 713 by a monk named Haitong, who found that the turbulent river had sunk and drowned many people who tried to cross the river, in order to tame the river and harness the river, he called on local surport and built this 71-meter Buddha statue. Besides the visit to Big Buddha, you will visit Lingyunn temple and Wuyou temple, both are in minutes walk to the Buddha.
In mid afternoon, drive another 30 kilometers to Baoguo temple, a famous Buddhist temple at the foot of Mt. Emei, stay overnight there and listen to the peaceful drum and bell sounding in the evening.
Day07: Mt. Emei to Chendu -------- B/L/D ------- 3* Hotel
At 0830AM, start the tour to visit half mountain of Mt. Emei (instead of going to summit).
Today we will visit Wanian temple (originally built in 980 A.D.), Qingyinge Pavillion, Monkey area and Yixiantian (a narrow part between two huge steep mountains; looking up, the sky seems to be a line, hence the name). in mid afternoon, drive back to Chengdu downtown area. dinner will be typically local Sichuan foods.
