Drive to Lhasa from Chengdu

there are generally two routes, we call them "the northern route of sichuan-tibet highway' and 'the southern route of sichuan-tibet highway'; while in operating, we always blend them together for make more choices

the northern route will pass these towns and cities as listed here: chengdu-wolong-danba-ganzi-dege-chamdo-riwoche-dingqing-baqing-sok-nakchu-lake namtso- lhasa

the souther route will pass: chengdu-ya'an-kangding-litang-batang-mangkang-zuogong-basu-ranwok lake-bomi-linzhi-bayi-lhasa

Drive to Lhasa from Xining

generally, there are two route to lhasa from xining; but while in operating, we divide them into 3; the 1st is from xining to lhasa via golmud and nakchu, the 2nd is to lhasa from xining via jyekundo, sok and nakchu, the 3rd route is to lasa from xining via jyekundo, chamdo and bayi; the 2nd and 3rd diverse at riwoche town in Tibet

Drive to Lhasa from Lijiang

taking adventure travel to tibet from yunnan, there are 2 routes, these two routes diverse at bangda, a small town inside tibet;

the southern route will pass these cities and towns as listed here: kunming - lijiang - zhongdian (shangri-la) - yanjing - mangkang - zuogong - bangda - basu - ranwok lake- bomi - linzhi - bayi - lhasa ;

the norther route will pass: kunming - lijiang - zhongdian (shangri-la) - yanjing - mangkang - zuogong - bangda - chamdo - riwoche - dingqing - sok - nakchu - lake namtso - lasa

Drive to Lhasa from Kashgar

Kashgar is located at the far western tip of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region and the start point of Xinjiang-Tibet highway; compared to other adventure travel routes to lasa from outside Tibet A.R., this route is publicly recognized as the most dangerous and hardest route.

Xinjiang-tibet highway passes Kashigar, Yecheng, Maduo, Gar (Shiquanhe), ruins of Guge kindom, mount kailash, lake manasarovar, zhongba, payang, saga, latse, shigatse, gyangtse and lhasa.
